Pastor's Sermon Points 01-03-2021

Scripture Text: Luke 18:35-43

SUBJECT: "Jesus Is Psssing By"

Introduction:  As I looked over this passage found in Luke, chapter 18, I believe there are some things we can learn from this man by the name of Bartimaeus in the text. Some lessons we might do well to apply to our own lives in this New Year.

Perhaps we may be able to glean some spirituial insight from this story that may help us usher in our miracle in 2021.

Learn some things like the importance of seizing the moment of opportunity. Life lessons on how to deal with hinderances in life even when they are self-imposed. Lessons on how to handle those stumbling blocks that others may be placing in your pathway.

For when you come to understand this story about Bartimaeus you will recognize the fact that the day Jesus passed by him on His way to Jericho was a day of hope for all.

And for someone who may have become disillusioned or just down rite disgusted by the disappointment of 2020 this may very well be your day of hope - your time of hope as Jesus passed by.
