Pastor's Sermon Points 01/10/2021

Scripture Text: Joshua 1:7-9

SUBJECT: "Have a Prosperous New Year"

INTRODUCTION: Our text today comes from the first book in the second part of the Hebrew Canon called the Prophets; the Law (Pentateuch) constituting the first part, and the Writings the third part.

This book of Joshua takes its name from the great religious and military leader whose exploits its recites. It is the first Bible book to bear the name of it principal character.

In the text God told Joshua to tell the children of Israel to be strong and courageous; keep on the straight path; and most of all meditate on the Word, day and night. God said if they would do this, their way would be prosperous and that they would have good success, no matter what.
